Strategies
Our strategy is simple... The GUILD will work to bring together people and organisations to better enable the concept, design, funding, construction and delivery of Social Housing.. as well as push to use modern methods of construction MMC by highlighting through discussion and various forms of communication, between members globally.
What may work in one geographic area may not work in another, but the global exchange of ideas and people connections is making more happen than before.
SO.. by joining the GUILD you will be enabling more to happen, and that simple adding of you and your organisation to our free membership will make a difference.
To overcome issues with cost, speed, quality, durability and the environment are the guilds foundations and GOALS.
Anyone can join so long as they want to observe or contribute with knowledge or funding or expertise to our goals.
Building Construction
The structure of a building, large or small, must use as many carbon neutral or negative elements as possible, whilst maintaining strength and durability for seismic, flood, fire, longevity better than conventional methods of construction.
Interior Construction
The interiors of a building must utilise the latest technology to reduce carbon footprint, labour time, costs and whilst retaining higher quality, durability and longevity.
Design and Architecture
The education of designers and engineers as to the mmc of the Guild and its partners is paramount in helping the world to build social housing by ensuring that mmc is adopted in the earliest stages in a development.
Energy
The Guild will continually seek ways to reduce consumption of energy and find ways to produce energy within the remit of a development. Engaging with industry and educational establishments is a fundamental goal of the Guild
Water treatment
Both the treatments for used water and the preservation or collection of fresh water are priorities for better sustainability for the Guild and its members.
Government Engagements
The Guild engages with government ministers globally and also industry leaders to ensure that the message that there are ways to meet global demands for social housing, is a fundamental part of the Guilds purpose.
