GUILD SUPPORT
Support Our Global Education & Advocacy Work
Help Us Carry the Message Further
The GUILD exists to make affordable housing happen — faster, better, and at scale — by uniting the people who design, engineer, fund, manufacture and deliver it. A large part of that work happens in the room: speaking directly to governments, ministries, developers, manufacturers and industry bodies, sharing what works, and building the connections that turn intention into homes built.
That work takes us around the world. It also costs money — travel, venues, materials and the time to prepare and deliver talks that genuinely move the conversation forward. As a non-profit, we don't fund this from our members, who join free. We fund it through organisations who share the cause and want to see it advanced on a global stage.
What Your Support Makes Possible
Every contribution goes directly toward reaching the people who make housing decisions:
-
Delivering educational talks and briefings to governments, ministries and industry bodies internationally
-
Bringing MMC, modular and modern delivery methods to markets that need them most
-
Convening the supply chain — designers, engineers, funders, manufacturers, contractors — around a shared standard
-
Producing the research and material that gives the sector a credible, independent voice
Why Fund the GUILD
We are independent and non-commercial, which is exactly what gives our voice weight. When the Guild speaks, it speaks for the outcome — affordable homes — not for a product. Organisations who fund this work stand behind that independence, and share in it:
-
Association with an independent, mission-led voice on one of the defining challenges of our time
-
A genuine social-value and ESG story you can stand behind and report against
-
Alignment with the future of construction — MMC, modular and the standards being set now
-
Recognition across our platform, at the events your funding makes possible, and in the material, we produce
Ways to Support
We keep this simple and flexible:
-
One-off contribution — support a specific programme, talk or region
-
Annual sponsor — back the education programme across the year, with recognition on our website and at events
-
Founding supporter — a limited number of organisations backing this work early, recognised permanently as the first to stand behind the Guild's global mission
The Guild is at the time of this writing, fully funded by our founder, Andrew J Bannister from his own resources. To grow the Guild Andrew needs support, we hope that this will be possible at any level with your support going forward.
Recognition, With Independence Intact
We're proud to acknowledge the organisations whose generosity makes our work possible. Donating organisations may be listed and displayed on the Guild's website, with their brand shown alongside the mission they help advance — a public mark of their commitment to affordable housing.
That recognition is exactly that: recognition. It is not influence, and it never buys it. The Guild's guidance on construction methods, systems and best practice is given on the evidence alone. We will always recommend the best way forward for the project and the people it serves, without favour to any donor, member or commercial interest — including those displayed on this site.
This is not a limitation on our gratitude; it is the foundation of it. A recommendation from the Guild carries weight precisely because it cannot be purchased. Our supporters understand this, and it is part of what they stand behind: an independent voice worth being associated with.
A Note on Independence & Transparency: Andrew J Bannister
As Founder, I also represent commercial organisations outside the Guild — among them Modulex and Merit. I am open about this, because transparency is the foundation of trust. These relationships in no way diminish my responsibilities to the GUILD, its members or its charter.
The Guild's purpose is a single outcome — affordable housing — and its independence is protected accordingly. Funds raised support the Guild's mission and its global education work, never any one commercial interest. Where the two might ever intersect, the charter and the cause come first. That principle is not negotiable, and it is what allows the Guild to speak with a voice worth funding.
Stand Behind the Work
If your organisation believes, as we do, that affordable housing is achievable — and wants to help us make the case for it around the world — we'd like to talk.
